Announcing our Saturdays in Summer training series. Join us on select Saturdays and learn how to stop unwanted behavior, develop better behavior, and just learn more about understanding your dog. This training is geared towards helping you and your dog understand and train through problems that may still exist in spite of your previous training efforts.
Saturdays in Summer do not require an ongoing committment. Anyone is welcome, regardless of your dogs training level. This is perfect for the dog who has already been through training classes but is still difficult to control or experiencing behavior problems. Or for the dog and owner who simply need more practice for learning a particular skill. Each session will have topics of focus, but will also cover behaviors and questions brought up by the attendees.
This is a pay as you go, attend when you wish training session. All that's required is advanced registration by 4:00 pm Friday. Email Wendy at wescotdobe@hotmail.com or call 509-5652. Each session is limited to 10 dogs/handlers, however auditors are welcome at a lower cost. This is a two hour session, join us for all or part of it. If you are on on a schedule and need to leave at a particular time we will address your issue in the time frame needed. Just let us know when you call to reserve your spot! Each hour long session costs $20 per dog/handler, $10 per auditor. Join us for all three sessions for only $40, or buy our Summer Series training card (6 sessions for $60) Spouses, partners, and children under 18 at no add'l cost.

Upcoming Shows and Match Shows
With so many of you now looking for Rally and Obedience Trials, I will attempt to
list upcoming local trials here on the blog, along with local show and go's or match shows.
This Saturday May 29th, Papillonia Dog Training Academy is hosting another Show and Go. The event starts at 9 am with Open and Utility. Novice will be in the first available ring. Runs are $7 each, food is available on site, corrections/training/toys/food all allowed.
If you haven't been to Papillonia before, the building is large enough for two full sized rings, with moderate crating area available. (be prepared to keep your dog in car i too crowded, I don't know how crowded their show and gos are) Excellant flooring, well lit, and typical sound (not a noisy venue, but not quiet either). A great opportunity to get you and your dog more ring experience! Address is 1127 Felton Rd, Red Lion, PA www.papillonia.com
For those of you looking for second and third legs in Rally (and don't mind showing outdoors) The Bryn Mawr Kennel Club is offering Rally the Sunday of their upcoming show weekend (June 20th for Rally). This is a horse show grounds, so be prepared for your dog to handle wonderful smells and the possibility of long grass! Ms. Tracy Yeanlsh is the judge for all three Rally classes. Entries close Wednesday June 2nd. www.raudogshows.com

Oops, forgot some brags...and We're on Facebook too
My apologies to a few students who's brags I missed here! At the Timmonium show in April: Congratulations to Judy and "Ch. Tucker TT" who completed their Rally Novice title, Congratulations to Luanne and Edison (Ch.?) who also completed their Rally Novice title, and to Deb and "Ch. Astra" on their two legs (RN). Reports from the breed ring that weekend require a congratulations to Karen and Beau (PBGV) on going winners, and Deb w/her young Rottie on getting WB/BOS, and to Sherri and Diva with their WB win as well!
I missed these brags here on the blog, but I did post them on the Dog Sense facebook page. Which brings me up to another announcement I missed here on the blog! We are now on Facebook! I'm very much a facebook novice, so forgive me but I'm not sure how to tell you to find us. I'll put a link here to see if it works!
If not, go to Facebook and search for Dog Sense: Dog training, sports, and learning center
Watch for changes to the Beyond Basics website www.dogsensewithwendy.webs.com in the next week or so as I announce new classes, new schedules, and more!
